For game developers and UI artists. Build a palette, see it under protanopia, deuteranopia, tritanopia and achromatopsia, find colour pairs that are hard to tell apart, and check text contrast against WCAG 2.x.

This tool runs fully in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, stored or sent anywhere. It is free and complete, with no locked features.

Values are CIEDE2000 colour differences. Lower means harder to tell apart. The default threshold of 11 is a rule of thumb for this tool, not a standard; adjust it to your game.

4. Text and UI contrast

Contrast ratio: 21.00 : 1

    Large text sample (24 px)

Normal text sample: the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.

Ratios follow the WCAG 2.x relative luminance formula. Thresholds: AA normal text 4.5, AA large text 3, AAA normal text 7, AAA large text 4.5, UI components 3.
