1. Palette
2. Your palette under each vision type
3. Pairs that are hard to tell apart
| Pair | Normal | Protanopia | Deuteranopia | Tritanopia | Achromatopsia | Result |
|---|
Values are CIEDE2000 colour differences. Lower means harder to tell apart. The default threshold of 11 is a rule of thumb for this tool, not a standard; adjust it to your game.
4. Text and UI contrast
Contrast ratio: 21.00 : 1
Large text sample (24 px)
Normal text sample: the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.
Ratios follow the WCAG 2.x relative luminance formula. Thresholds: AA normal text 4.5, AA large text 3, AAA normal text 7, AAA large text 4.5, UI components 3.

About and limits
- Vision simulations use the severity 1.0 matrices of Machado, Oliveira and Fernandes (2009), "A Physiologically-based Model for Simulation of Color Vision Deficiency", applied in linear RGB. Achromatopsia is shown as the relative luminance grey.
- Simulations are approximations from the cited model and are not a substitute for testing with colour-blind players.
- Colour differences use CIEDE2000 on CIELAB with a D65 white point.
- Reference reading: Color blindness and its design implications on Wikipedia, the WCAG 2.1 contrast minimum at w3.org, colour contrast at MDN.
- The Okabe-Ito preset is a published palette designed for colour-blind readers. This page does not claim that every pair in it passes your threshold; the table above shows the measured numbers.
